Students will have the opportunity to connect with the Instructor, as well as with fellow students, during the week via a Group Discussion Board called BAND.  Students may post questions or comments at any time.  The Instructor will check and respond to the Discussion Board on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Age Range:

The recommended age-range for this Course is ages 8-13.
Parents, we will defer to you on this matter.  Please contact Donnie Mattos at hebrewforthenations@gmail.com if you have a younger or older child and would like to discuss his/her participation in this Course.  Together, we can find a suitable way for your child to begin to be introduced to Biblical Hebrew.

Refund Policy:

Because of third-party payment processor fees, we must charge a $35.00 Administrative Fee for any cancellations before the beginning of Classes.  Any cancellations after the second week of Classes will be refunded on a prorated basis, less the $35.00 Administrative Fee.

Learning Objectives:


To assist the student in acquiring phonemic awareness of Biblical Hebrew, as well as directing the student towards the beginning stages of fluidity.  Reading comprehension is added and emphasized in Beginning Biblical Hebrew Course Two.

Course One runs for Sixteen Weeks (with two additional weeks built-in for sickness, or extra time needed for Course material).

  • Aleph-Bet

  • Vowels

  • Vocabulary 

  • Beginning Fluidity in Scripture Reading

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of Course One, it is expected that students will be able to accurately (and most likely slowly) pronounce any Hebrew word in the Biblical Text.  Recognition of the meanings (Vocabulary) of these Biblical Hebrew words will gradually develop in Beginning Biblical Hebrew Course Two and the Intermediate Biblical Hebrew Courses.
